If I were to go somewhere, anywhere, it'd be over there. No, not there. A little to the left. Yeah, there. Right between those two glowing points of light. I think they're called "stars". Right between those stars, and even farther. Keep going. Going. A little bit more. Okay, stop. Right there. Look around. What do you see? What do you feel? What are you sucking into your lungs each time you take a breath? It's not here, and that's all that matters. Not that I have any problems with "here". I've had a lot of good times here, times that I wouldn't trade for anything. But the biggest problem with here is that it's not there. There's the place where you can be somewhere other than here. The only problem with there is that as soon as you get there, it becomes here. Less than a moment after you arrive at there, it becomes here. But as soon as you leave here, it becomes there. So there really is no point in leaving here, is there? Just sit here and dream about there. That is the best that you can ever hope to accomplish. The highest rung on the ladder is dreaming. Dreaming about elsewhere. Somewhere. There. You can envy everyone else, for they aren't here, they're always there. If they're smart, they'll envy you for the same reason. But you can't tell them that. You can't tell them you're envious, even though they all know it. They all know what you're thinking, and what you're feeling, because they're thinking the same thing, they're feeling the same thing. Of course, they can't tell you how they feel, either. That's the rule, of course. So, sit here, staring through green eyes at all those that are there, and smile, knowing that they're all smiling back at you with the same green eyes. You're here. They're there. But someday, someday, someday, I'll find out how to leave here, and go there, and the second I do, the second I find out how, the second I make the discovery, I'll go there and never look back. But who knows how long never is? Never is just a word. Never can be a few seconds, it can be many seconds, it can be all seconds. But never is there, and you won't find it here.
